For A Special Treat, Give Your Little Girl A Tea Party For Her Birthday

If you want to make your little girl's birthday one that is unique and unforgettable, let her throw a tea party for her and all of her friends. Have her use her own dining furniture and take care of all the decorating by herself. You may have to add a couple more seats to those she already has but serving tea for six should be a good number.

Let her have a girls only party that includes dressing up as well as preparing the refreshments for her friends. You should be able to find a vinyl tablecloth to provide the right atmosphere to the center of attraction. If she prefers a more elegant approach, use real cloth. You may be able to fold over a table cloth of your own to fit the occasion or just edge hem a piece of fabric to make it fit the spot. The more ruffled mats and fine accessories you can let her use, the better it will be.

You can use cupcakes for tea cakes and let her serve Kool-Aid from a pitcher and play the part of the perfect hostess. To make the party a true success, sitting down for tea should only take place after the guests have appropriately dressed for the occasion.

Provide all of the children with a wardrobe of frilly dresses, hats, boas and more. It is easy to build a dress-up wardrobe that is versatile and fun for several children. If you don't have enough old clothes of your own, there are always thrift stores and yard sales. Of course, you can ask friends and family first. Go to a one dollar variety store and see what they have for beads and bangles, too.

If your little girl doesn't already have a dinette set to use for the tea party, this is the perfect gift idea. Once the party is over, she will have a place to enjoy the family meals with other children and to use as a art or play spot all her own in her room. This will be one gift that is useful from the day it arrives and will continue to be of benefit for years afterwards.

Other gift ideas to go along with the dinette set could include art sets that have all the materials she needs to create lots of great drawings. Choosing a piece of furniture that has a drawer for storage will also create a storage spot that she can use for all of her drawing supplies.

Child sized dishes that she can really use would be another idea. Children love to have furniture in their own size and they will always enjoy having accessories with just the right fit, too.

These pieces of furniture are available in a wide variety of styles and prices so you can invest as much or as little in one that will suit the purpose for the party or for many years to come.
